I bought this for my mom thinking it might be a fun sort of "crossword reference book" to aid her in her daily pastime. While, yes, it will be useful for that as well, I was overwhlemed by the simply staggering amount of fun information contained therein. It's a lot like surfing the internet! Once you look up one entry, you cant help but look up something else, then something else, then... Well, you get the idea. Sometimes I look up a topic with which I'm familiar just to get the author's take on the subject. But, invariably, I learn something (or ten more things) that I didn't know! The Index is an eclectic mix of sometimes bizarre, sometimes shocking, but ALWAYS fascinating information. It really is a must read. I don't know how much of a compliment this is, but I consider it an essential "bathroom book." Short, pithy entries make for delghtful little breaks in your day!Product details
